Survival posts take me back to my childhood. I was a avid hiker and explorer. My dad was a park ranger and I used to spend hours roaming the woods we lived on. it was my interest in wilderness survival that shaped me and lead me to prepping.
The mindset to survive in the woods and the mindset to survive a disaster is very similar, actually I would say the survival mindset is the same. Its like the response Daniel Boone once gave when asked if he ever got lost. Daniel replied “I’ve never been lost, but I once spend 3 days a bit bewildered about my current location”.
It does not matter about the location, what matters is the will to survive coupled with the skills to solve problem and the knowledge to recognize solutions.
