This manual is dedicated to the soldier — the key to success on the battlefield. Wars are not won by machines and weapons but by the soldiers who use them. Even the best equipped army cannot win without motivated and well-trained soldiers.
FM 21-75 Combat Skills of the Soldier is the soldier’s field manual. It tells the soldier how to perform the combat skills needed to survive on the battlefield. These are basic skills that must be learned by soldiers in all military occupational specialties.
Subjects taught in FM 21-75 include:
•Cover, Concealment, and Camouflage
•Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare
•Combat Intelligence and Counterintelligence
•First Aid and Personal Hygiene
•Survival, Evasion, and Escape
This PDF is a good start in learning combat skills, if you have not served in the military, but have an interest in these skills, then you should read this. I will caution that military skills aren’t going to be learned solely from a book – they can’t be. Your going to have to find a good instructor and spend a lot of time outside practicing these skills.
