While DIY is the main focus of Dave’s Homestead.  My mission is to help my readers to live a more disaster resilient life.  Disaster preparedness does require gear.  This meant I ended doing enough gear review articles that a separate category was needed.

Some items reviewed are things I purchased because they served a purpose in my life.

Other items were offered to me either for free or at a reduced price so that I can share them with you.  In that case I will clearly note that in the article.  No matter how much I paid, or the discount received, personal preparedness is too important to not give you my honest opinion.
