Safeguarding and Controlling Communications Security Material is a Army in Europe Regulation, specifically AER380-40 from July 2003
This regulation establishes policy and prescribes procedures for safeguarding, controlling, and disposing of communications security (COMSEC) material in the European region.
While no reader of this site is likely to fall under this regulation, I find an understanding of basic communications security is vital for people living in the information age.
People tend to put way too much information online (myself doubly included) and do not have secure passwords or systems in place to protect their online information.
Hardly a week goes by that a new attempt to get access to online accounts isn’t discovered. I am amazed at how many people still fall for these phishing attempts.
