As I have said before the late Alex Weir has done the prepper community a great service by the creation of the CD3WD set. His intent was to help third world populations by creating an easy to use repository of information to keep them healthy and help them gain some measure of comfort.
The Sheep heath handbook listed here does that by helping the field producer keep their animals alive without access to veterinary services. This document is available on amazon, but it is several hundred dollars at the time this was posted.
This book talks about diseases as well as their treatments. The sheep health handbook also covers tools and instruments, techniques, therapies, and diagnostic aids. It even has a map of world regions and the sheep diseases normally found.
This is a great resource and I plan on sharing similar documents for other common homestead animals. Personally I do not have any experience with sheep, but I would like to have a couple. It is my understanding they are better suited to Tennessee than goats are.
