Survival posts take me back to my childhood. I was a avid hiker and explorer. My dad was a park ranger. Consequently, this meant I spent hours roaming the woods we lived on. It was my interest in wilderness survival that shaped me and lead me to prepping.
The mindset to survive in the woods and the mindset to survive a disaster is very similar.
Daniel Boone was asked if he ever got lost. Daniel replied “I’ve never been lost, but I once spend 3 days a bit bewildered about my current location”.
It does not matter about the location. Rather, it is the will to survive coupled with the skills to solve problem and the knowledge to recognize solutions.
