ARTEP 1-113 Mission Training Plan for Assault Helicopter Battalion is not something I think is useful to you as it sits, but it is a fine example of an army mission training plan.
When I was an emergency management planner and was tasked to create a document – be it an SOP, a plan, an exercise, or anything else, I always started by finding a template to work from.
While none of us preppers have the resources to create an assault helicopter battalion (if you do call me…) but we may need to create a training plan for our team or group.
I have created training plans for my family, nothing crazy, but what should we do if we are at the mall and find ourselves in an active shooter situation – or a regular robbery?
What do we do if we have a home burglary in the night? A tornado, we are separated at work during an EMP event?
It is not enough to talk about these things, you should practice, you should evolve your plan as your skills increase.
Plan how you need to train – what are your objectives, how do you know you have met your objectives.
I have said before, the military is the best example of training for success under stress that I know of. You can learn a lot by studying how they plan.[pdf-embedder url=”https://www.tngun.com/wp-content/uploads/ARTEP1-113-Mission-Training-Plant-for-Assault-Helicopters-Battalion.pdf” title=”ARTEP1-113 Mission Training Plant for Assault Helicopters Battalion”]
